Angie’s passion for yoga began in Germany during her studies. What started as an irregular hobby evolved into a daily practice and a deeper understanding that yoga is more than just a physical exercise. During her first year living in Sri Lanka, she realized that yoga can take many forms—from short meditations and strong Ashtanga practices to embodied movement, conscious walks on the beach, and the way you interact with others. For Angie, yoga is an approach to living.
Her dedication to creating a space for remarkable teachers to guide people from all over the world drives her daily commitment to running the studio. A certified yoga instructor with 400 hours of training, you might meet her on the mat in the slow season months, holding space for you herself.
Originally from Germany, Angie fell in love with both Rihan, her husband, and the beauty of Sri Lanka. Together, they run Stay Golden, dedicated to creating memorable experiences for their guests.

As a dedicated yogini, she passionately shares her holistic approach to wellness.

Meet Stefanie, our Thai massage therapist. She has trained in northern Thailand, spending eight years immersed in the culture and practising this amazing technique. She experienced the benefits first-hand: increased flexibility, reduced tension, a relaxed nervous system, and more open hips. Now, she is dedicated to helping others reconnect with their bodies through Thai massage, practised with loving-kindness and without oil, for a comfortable experience.
“Yoga is a core foundation in my life—its philosophy guides my values, asana supports my body, and meditation teaches me to surrender and simply be. Sharing these practices, which bring balance and deeper self-awareness, is one of my greatest joys.”
Meet Katharina — a yoga teacher with roots in Ashtanga and Hatha, and a love for crafting Jivamukti-inspired flows. Her classes are thoughtfully adapted to the level and energy of the group, making them both accessible and engaging.
Before stepping onto the yoga path, Kat spent over a decade in the corporate world. But after completing her teacher training, everything shifted. About a year and a half later, she fully embraced a new lifestyle, trading office life for a more mindful, movement-focused journey that’s taken her around the world.
Kat is also a certified massage therapist and Reiki master — two healing practices she’s passionate about and loves to share alongside her yoga offerings.
